Thanks!n

What clients will be available?
The term "clients" is rather vague, as there are 4 separate API's in
Asterisk. If you mean channels, the current code supports the Adtran
Atlas product family. An Internet PhoneJack from QuickNet recently
arrived and so that channel will likely be supported soon.

a isdn-card.
isdn4linux is an excellent target possibility. While the code hasn't been
officially released yet, CVS access is available. If you're interested in
coding channel support for isdn4linux, then I'd be happy to give you CVS
access (readonly or readwrite)

Does it support H323?
No, although an H.323 channel support seems reasonable -- except of course
that the most popular H.323 stack is under MPL, not GPL or LGPL.

Well, for a PBX you need a telephone, to us it. Even a computerbase PBX
need something like a "telephone"! :-) If you donīt have a telephone you
donīt need any PBX.
I wanted to know, what you use as "telephone". Is a channel a
"telephone"?

I would be very interrested, but i donīt know how complex it will be. I
have writen a capi-fax programm for linux some time ago, until some
wrote a better one. So i know how use the capi. Maybe you could send me
tar-archive so i can watch the code?

Well, obviously for most people the most important channel will connect to
a telephone. Right now we use an Adtran Atlas to connect telephones, but
another method will hopefully be the Internet PhoneJack for smaller
numbers of "seats".

I can set you up wtih read-only CVS access, or read/write if you think you
will be able to support the isdn4linux API.
