Ok, just updated everything and trying a call with a sip h263
videophone. The netcam used is an Axis 210A (rtsp, mpg4).
When calling, the rtsp connection seems up, but I get
no video on the phone.
Or better... I have an RTP video stream to the phone, but I
cannot see anything.
Any hint on were I can look at to debug it?
matteo.

I've quickly hacked channel.c to ignore the incompatible
audio format, and then palced an h324m video call
to the the rtsp stream.... it works!
so maybe is the videophone h263 stack that does not work?
uhm...
another things: if ffmepg reports "[mpeg4 @ 0x122b388]header damaged"
the call is closed... there's a way to try to ignore
it and go on ?
regards,
matteo.

Can u try linphone? I found to be one of the best video softphones around.
And with the video issue, can you check if the videophone support
h263-1998/2000?
Greetings
Sergio Garcia

Could you send me the patch for fixing it?
it's not a fix!
is a dirty hack just to make asterisk go on
if it cannot find a transcoder.
Basically in channel.c, line 2897, just
comment out the "return NULL" when it
blames about the translator path....
I've made this just to test... I won't
use it in production.
A proper way (amr patch maybe) should be implemented...
Greetings,
Matteo.

yes!
I tried either with linphone (linux) and xlite(windows)
and it works great.... now I can check my security netcams
from a sip phone... very good!
Now I'll look if is possible to extend the transcoder app
to add more details, like cropping and so on.
Matteo.
