Hi,
Can you check if you have the app_mp4.so in the
/usr/lib/asterisk/modules, after the installation ?
"Lunch the installation script. ", you should enter in the untared
directory and execute the install.sh.
make a :
# ldd / usr/lib/asterisk/modules/app_mp4.so
To test the dependencies.
Can you give me the Asterisk dump when you start your asterisk with :
asterisk -cvvvvv
Thanks,
Borja

Hi Sergio and Borja,
Many thanks for your replies. I tried both approaches,
but could not move much further.
Hi Sergio,
From a thread
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-video/2007-July/000826.html , I
followed the instructions as my OS is also CentOs 5, but I could not compile
the mpeg4ip, and thus unable to move ahead. My steps and dump are at the
end. Are you aware of a better source for Mpeg4ip?
Hi Borja,
I took the Asterisk 1.4 package from
http://www.i6net.com/downloads/pbx-14-packages/ and from the steps at
http://www.i6net.com/support/install/
- tar xvzf asterisk_V1.4.20.1_2008-05-30_i386.tar.tar

Hi Sharan,
To install the Fontventa application (including app-mp4), you should
install the fontventa package over an installed Asterisk (downloadable
from the i6net.com website):
Fontventa 0.0 2008-05-09 i386 <http://www.i6net.com/?file_id=35>
In your mail, I see that you have installed only the Asterisk binaries
package.
So, download and install the fontventa binaries packages and restart
your Asterisk.

Borja

Hi Borja,
Many thanks once again for your directions. I installed the Fontventa application, and now I do see app_mp4.so being created in /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/.
But when I use the mp4save() application, in my extensions.conf, as:
exten => 600,1,Wait,0 ; Wait a second, just for fun
exten => 600,2,Answer ; Answer the line
exten => 600,3,mp4save(/tmp/save.mp4)
I get the following on the CLI:
[Jun 3 22:24:30] WARNING[8693]: pbx.c:1832 pbx_extension_helper: No application 'mp4save' for extension (default, 600, 3)
== Spawn extension (default, 600, 3) exited non-zero on 'SIP/600-08f4e778'
localhost*CLI> core show application mp4save
Your application(s) is (are) not registered
Please suggest how to register the application, so as to make this work.
Thanks for your help,
Regards
Sharan
