Hello,

I have the same problem with the Cause 34 on BRI lines. We have 2
systems, both with QuadBRI, and both of them show this problem randomly.

Here in Spain, some telcos install new ISDN lines with layer 1
deactivated (energy saving), so /proc/zaptel shows DEACTIVATED on these
lines. But you can call to the telco and ask for turning of the energy
saving, and the ISDN line shows ACTIVATED again.

But the "Cause 34" we are experiencing is when the ISDN lines are
ACTIVATED, so this is not the "layer 1" problem.

We have tried to put the ISDN lines in PTP and PTMP modes, and the
problem persists. In PTP mode, the "Cause 34" is less frequent (maybe once
in a week).

If I can provide more information to solve this issue, you can ask
me.

Thanks.

1. I think we've got the same "cause 34" problem here.
We're running 1.4.17-BRIstuffed-0.4.0-test6.
And you ?

We have tested the last 3 versions of asterisk 1.2 bristuffed. We
don't use 1.4

2. How frequently such errors occur ?

With PTMP, once a day. With PTP, one or two times a week. The
systems are small and the call traffic is low.

Regards.
