Well, zaptel 1.2.18 has a bunch of useful fixes for our drivers, so I
have decided to take a stab at adjusting bristuff to work with it. Just
a simple change in the URL. Not a biggie.
And then I noticed that the zaptel.patch needed a small adjustment (the
makefile has slightly changed). Upon testing I noticed that running
./install.sh again leves you with a rather strange tree. And that the
scripts there do a rather poor job of handling errors.
So my changes started to grow and grow. I ended up with:
0.3.0-PRE-1y-g-xorcom
- A separate distribution as upstream is not responsive.
- Using zaptel 1.2.18 (for e.g: support of Xorcom Astribank BRI).
- All scrips could be run more than once.
- Build also xpp/utils (Astribank userspace, genzaptelconf, perl
stuff - enabled)
- zaptel.patch: Fixed for 1.2.18 (adapted Makefile patch).
- zaptel.patch: Removed Modules.symvers and an extra zaptel-base.c
hunk.
- Files are writable.
- Using -e as to not mask errors.
- Assuming user has gnu tar, wget has -c and sed has -i.
- But not assuming /bin/bash unnecesarily.
- A note regarding linux-headers / kernel-devel packages for kernel
source.
- Building extra zap/bri modules in zaptel dir with some symlinks.
0.3.0-PRE-1y-g-xr1
- Revised the INSTALL document. Added an html version using
asciidoc.
- Added config.sh for initial configuration.
- Added pack.sh to generate the tarball.
