Still trying to figure out the optimum arrangement so I don't have an
inordinate number of extensions. Maybe like this:
1. First outgoing try
2. Second outgoing try
3. Third ougoing try
4. Play a message and/or hangup
Yep, that's exactly how I've set up my little LCR solution. Include a
ResetCdr() just before the next try and you are set. You could even
announce the rate ($$ per minute) and the name of the provider before
each try to be better able to track down problems that your users have.

Oooops,
sorry about that, my client is playing little nasty address type-ahead
games with me... wrong list.
Actually, this kind of gave me a good idea. Maybe someone who reads the
users list (I am no longer subscribed to it, I don't have the time to
keep up with the s/n ratio)
Maybe when someone sees something interesting answered on the users list
that might be beneficial to be added to the documentation, it could be
forwarded here so that we can review and see if there is any good
information we can use.
I for one would find something like that very handy, as I know some good
information is answered on the mailing list.

My suggestion would be to use asterisk-users indirectly by way of the
Wiki. Duplicating work is never a good thing, and much of the list wisdom
goes - more or less directly - into the Wiki in alread condensed form.
