For people running 5.X they should pick up the latest CVS and recompile
and install ... linking with the right library makes a huge difference!
I now have a 4.10 box and will have a look at any issues. I am not sure
what threaded libraries 4.10 has if it uses the re-entrant c library
then that has known forking issues.

i'm running 1.0 on freebsd 4.10, and it does link to libc_r. however, i've
yet to see any major problems, with exception to the recent issue with
ast_waitstream_full() i posted on asterisk-dev.
i'll try linking asterisk to the linux pthreads library to see if that that
makes any difference. (/usr/ports/devel/linuxthread)

The chances are that it will not show up cos you are not using the
zaptel driver and thus not using meetme and iax2 trunking etc.
There is a cludge in the moh which puts a delay in otherwise the forked
thread would use 100% CPU.
Once you get zaptel running it would be interesting to find out which
threads library works best under 4.10. libpthread seems the best under
5.3.

aye, i'll get it up and report back here. having problems compiling the
driver you sent me though, there's a missing .h somewhere which i can't
seem to find.

I think there are a couple of ports you need to add.
Check the error and then see if there is a port called the same.
