I'm building an Asterisk PBX on FreeBSD and I need advice on the best
way to get 4 FXO lines connected. Top priority is the production
quality of the connection; next the amount of time/effort involved;
finally price.
It looks like the alternatives are the PCI-based Wildcard TDM400P + 4
FXO bundle or one of the various external analog FXO gateways. (Am I
missing something else?)
The impression I get from what I read is that the TDM400P driver in
FreeBSD isn't yet perfect. There seems to've been important development
in the SVN repository since the port was last updated on 10/26/04.
Is anybody running the driver from the SVN repository? Would you rate
it production quality yet or is it still "beta"? Any tricks involved in
getting it to run with the port framework from October?
Any words of advice about the analog gateways would also be appreciated.

i'm using a TDM22B (2xFXS, 2xFXO) with the freebsd zaptel drivers, patched
(by myself) to be as close to the linux zaptel drivers as possible. works
fine so far, though i havent yet put it in "production".

Could you post your patches to this list? I'm getting ready to install
a TDM04B into a FreeBSD box here in our small office so we can move to
a new phone system.
Thanks,
Calvin

Yes! I've just bought one TDM40B and TDM13B. They are ready to install. And
I want to make with FreeBSD. I don't want to have linux box in my home
network:-)

i'll soon be submitting my patches to the zaptel freebsd subversion repo,
but till that happens, i'll email you a set of zaptel sources which build
and cleanly install on 4.10. do not however that i've yet to test the
wct1xxp driver.
