I am interested in other peoples experiences with CRM's and interfacing with the Asterisk system. I am mainly interested in adding and removing customer accounts for a voicemail product. I am open to any form of discussion. Thanks for your time!

Astersiskathome has sugar crm built-in, and appears to work very well.
There are API's that you can use to "click" to call a contact and such.
You can find a ready made iso on their website (be sure to download the
manual--- it has all the default passwords in it!). Once you boot from
the cd drive it does everything.

I am a huge fan of SugarCRM and have had the fortunate luck of working on many custom add-ons for the OSS... However, "out of the box" SugarCRM Open Source isn't all that sweet.
If you are planning the deployment of SugarCRM Open Source there are many sweeteners available http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums with step by step instructions on how to install or upgrade the package.
As for Asterisk, we currently use SugarCRM at our office and have created custom add-ons for inventory control, customer service levels, policies/ permissions and are currently screen popping client contacts from Caller ID or ANI information.
If anyone is interested in knowing more about this solution feel free to contact me.

We are customizing SugarCRM and predictive dialer Gnudialer.
At this moment we have a great piece of software....
For more info go to: http://www.migo-systems.com , there are some
information and feature list, but in sysnc with everything.. at this point
we have more funcionalities than those listed..
Here are most important ones:
- SugarCRM users are combined with extensions (similar like in
asterisk@home..)
- On top of SugarCRM is Java that is connected to Asterisk Manager and
listens to Events (both for ordinary calls and predictive dialer calls)
- incoming call notification on new window with links to
Contacts/Leads
- predictive dialer notifications on Link event with Contact/lead
data
- predictive dialer has a pause button..
- every call (incoming/outgoing) is recorded in SugarCRM.. with audio
recording also and can be listened/viewed in Account/contact/lead history)
- auto creation of Leads or Account/contact pairs if a dialer number is not
in SugarCRM database
- custom predictive dialer agent interface (integrated with SugarCRM, but on
additional tab)
- predictive dialer campaign manager interface
- user administration interface (for Asterisk , Sugar and gnudialer)..
Etc..

It isn’t really an add on so to speak… When you say interested you mean yourself or the company you work for?

Our main goal with this CRM is to import our Database from our current CRM into a new Asterisk friendly CRM. (Can I say CRM one more time? :-p) The main GUI would be for the call center to create and delete new accounts. Pretty vanilla, as their will only be one type of account but 50,000 customers. Mainly we just need to turn them off and on, reset their password, and verify status and CDR info. I open to any ideas and or developers that may have a product that can do this. I am looking into developing this one step further but we can discuss this off the list. Please feel free to contact me directly at Mastern8@gmail.com (Mastern8@gmail.com) The best possible scenerio is someone that can help us install a Asterisk based Voicemail system with a CRM. time is of the essence so please feel free to contact me whenever you see this. Thanks again!
