I have just tried to install the gui for my Asterisk box.

i followed this guide http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/asterisk_gui.html

i checked the cofnigs ("make checkconfig") which passed now when i go the address: http://192.168.90.2:8088/asterisk/static/config/cfgbasic.html

192.168.90.2 being the ip of our asterisk server id

Not Found

anyone any ideas?

im currently logged on as root so is it possible that the gui has installed in the wrong directory>? where should the gui be? in the "etc/asterisk folder?

thanks

Danny

Same here. Additional message is:

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Noting in any logs (with or without debugging) etc, etc...

Update: This is Asterisk v1.4.13 (Debian GNU/Linux version 1:1.4.13~dfsg-1) with the Asterisk-GUI just checked out from SVN.

All obvious URL's to test also fails, exept the /asterisk/httpstatus. The /asterisk/manager (and most of the others) gives me 'Missing action in request'.

There's some questions about this, but no answers. Some have managed to fix it/get it fixed, but without details!

One reply to a question asked if that user was running it a XEN host, but didn't... I do, does it matter?

As a side note, Asterisk works perfectly besides the HTTP server...

Has anyone figured this out? I have the IDENTICAL problem. Httpstatus confirms the port and ip bindings. All other directories do not work. All directories exist in /var/lib/asterisk/static-http/, but none are available by browser.

I had the same problem, it looks like the HTTP-server is looking in another location /usr/share/asterisk/static-http for the static content.
Created a logical link: ln -s /var/lib/asterisk/static-http static-http
This fixed the problem for me, a nicer solution would be to change the root for the HTTP-server, but I don't have a clue where this is configured.

I have the same issue. Sad

Asterisk 1.4.21.2~dfsg-3 built by pbuilder @ grnetbox on a x86_64 running Linux

On a fresh Debian 5 (Lenny).

How it can be this issue standing for so long time?

Any help or link would be really appreciated.

The solution was already posted. This worked for me:

ln -s /var/lib/asterisk/static-http /usr/share/asterisk/static-http

I don't know if this is related. In the meanwhile I also installed mini-httpd, which was not.
