I have a spare computer, and located an authentic x100P FXO pci card to buy from x100.com. I have cable internet and no phone service.
Where do i go to buy a local phone number?
Is that the right pci card I need to handle incoming and outgoing calls for 1 phone line?
What is the easiest to use and setup GUI wise distro called that i need?
Is there any thing else I need to know other than basics of linux?
im familiar with apt-get command in all debian based distros.
can I get this to work in virtual pc 2007? - if not then ill have to run a 2nd computer dedicated to the phone.
