Hi,

I plan to install Asterisk for my home usage. The plan is like this:
- all calls should go using mobile operator (GSM card);
- I plan to use sofphone for calls, so I can use my number over internet during my trips;

I have server for Asterisk, but what is the easiest (budget) way to configure traffic through a mobile operator?
So far, I was recommended to use GSM WLL device as a gateway, but this one can be connected to my Aterisk server via FXO ports, which (as far as I have found) are 4 ports at least and are pretty expensive for home use.

Can I connect just some gsm phone as gateway?
Please, any instructions, recommendations are more than welcomed.

HI,

Hi you can achive this by many method .....

1) Bluetooth device

Connect your phone with your pc and asterisk by using bluetooth device.
Receive call on phone then forwarded to asterisk after that on your second phone by using trunk. You can enable your voice mail and other services as per you requirement on asterisk. Check on below URL.

http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+Bluetooth+channels

2) BY SMS

You can connect asterisk and your phone by datacable and sms module.
In this process you have to subscribe the missed call alert service from your gsm provider.when ever call will come your cell,dont pick it and it willl convert in to miss call..after that your provider will send you sms of missed call notification, receive that sms on asterisk and sechudle a call back on your system that will connect you and your coming call when you will be on trips.

For more info look on below url...

3) Connection Direct Celluar Network..

This can you achive by using data adaptor of phone and some module installed on asterisk box.

Have a look on below url....
