6. Configuration Files

01. extensions.conf - this is the configuration file, where have to make your dial plans.

02. adsi.conf - this is the Analog Display Services Interface Configuration file for Asterisk.
03. agents.conf -
04. asterisk.adsi - this is a sample script for ADSI phones.
05. asterisk.conf - this is the configuration file, where the locations of different asterisk components, such as log files, configuration files, agi scripts and etc., are configured.
06. cdr_custom.conf - this configuration file defines, what exactly gets logged in this Call Data Record(CDR) line.
07. cdr_manager.conf - this configuration file is used to enable or disable the sending of CDRs through the asterisk manager interface.
08. iax.conf - the configuration file for the IAX channel
09. meetme.conf - this configuration file is used by the MeetMe application. Here, you have to declare the conference room, which you would like to use.
10. queues.conf -
11. zaptel.conf (in progress) - this configuration file is used for configuration of the PRI cards

when i run make config commond,it gives me this error.

stefan: uhh, no, sip.conf isn't in chapter 2, it just explains sip related commands on the CLI.

a chapter on sip.conf would explain the actual configuration file.

There does not seem to be a mention of configuration for sip.conf under the asterisk configuration files.
