Greetings fellow Linux telephony Enthusiasts!
I would like to announce the immediate availability of version 0.1.4 of
the Asterisk Open Source PBX.
The primary feature addition of this release is that the LineJack now
works (although it does not seem to detect hangups properly on my setup --
I'm eager to hear how it works with other people's setups.
For those unfamiliar to it, the Asterisk PBX is an Open Source private
branch exchange and development framework for telephony
applications. Asterisk abstracts the underlying hardware (or network
protocols) and provides a simple API for writing your own IVR
applications.
Asterisk's core API is all in C, although C++ modules can be written (a
sample KDE console is included)
