Shouldn’t be checked in to 1.6.2 brach? Cause I can’t see that merged.

Yes, it wasn't merged with 1.6.2 as it is a new feature (it changed the
layout of the CoreStatus response message). It will be in 1.6.3 once it
is released.
In the meantime feel free to patch your local installation. You can get
and apply the patch by executing this at the command line:

I was the reporter and the first patch was mine :), I just wanted to know if
was being include into 1.6.2.

I know, but what I committed was slightly different than what you were doing in
your patch. So if you use the patch from SVN, you can be assured that you will
have some forward compatibility with the way it will be done in asterisk 1.6.3.
