I switched to using 1.6 and the wcb4xxp Digium code patched (see bug
0013897) without any Bristuff patches. This works OK except I can
reliably "lose" a channel leading to the same problem.
I believe this is when (2 channel BRI) one channel is in use. A second
call comes in that the dialplan handles by attempting to call out (a
mobile, for example). This outgoing call fails, of course, as there is
not another spare channel, but something in the hangup goes wrong,
possibly because the channel is in use by that call. After that you only
have one channel. Then the same thing happens again - more likely now
that one channel is out - and you lose both channels.
