Hi,
I'm using asterisk 1.4.
I have configuration like this
IPPHONE(MPEG4) <--> ASTERIX <--> HANDPHONE
My ipphone can only use mpeg4-es, so i tried app_transcoder.
But nothing happen, i still cannot see the video.
After displaying sip log, it happened that video info was rejected, the handphone reply with audio only.
Does app_transcoder do sip manipulation too, i mean change mpeg4 to h263 when doing message exchange?
If not how to change MPEG4 codec to h263 when doing sip message exchange?

I'm still using Asterisk 1.4 because i'm using zaptel bri.

I have tried your patch, now asterisk can have mpeg4 at sdp.
But it seem the mpeg4 capability send to handphone which the handphone doesnot support it.
My goal is to have my sipphone do callout to handphone.
So the final capability is h263 at sdp.
And transcoder will re-encode mpeg4 from my sipphone to h263 and stream it to target handphone
