Please run with gdb... You can run Asterisk without ANY modules, so
telling it not to load chan_oss shouldn't cause a problem. Are you using
CVS or a release of asterisk? Have you tried a "make clean ; make ; make
install"?

Well, I thought I had already done it but I did a make clean and then
re-tried it w/o oss and I'm back to just getting ...
