I can't release the G.723.1 translator due to patent concerns. You can
try getting your PhoneJack running in signed linear mode. Which version
of the PhoneJack driver are you using, or are you using the one that came
with RedHat 6.2?
Right now, I've not been able to get the newest PhoneJack or LineJack
drivers to work properly with Asterisk (signalling works, but no voice).
I have been working with QuickNet engineers to resolve the issues.
I was unable to get the most recent version of the quicknet driver
(18-gpl) to work with RedHat 6.2 without adjusting the driver.

So, I need to use the drivers that came with RHL6.2?

We're looking into this... I don't know what Red Hat did, but I
can say that the new driver works flawlessly with RH6.1 and a
2.2.14 kernel tree. It does appear that the kernel tree that
ships with RH6.2 is different, but we're rather swamped and
have not had the time to look closely. I'll see if we can get a
better answer today.

Actually, I don't know, I hadn't tried the drivers that came with RedHat
6.2... I'd just instinctively used the drivers from QuickNet... Maybe I
should go back and try again.

well try it, but beware that you'll need to use isapnp tools (unless you
have the PCI version).

The Red Hat 6.2 release has the 0.3.4 driver release. The
current driver is 0.3.31. The difference is mainly with PSTN
port stuff on the Internet LineJACK. If you are using the
PhoneJACK product line then you are probably just fine with the
driver that's on the CDROM.
