Now we will create a SIP user on Asterisk who will play the SNOM harphone therefore this user must be registered also at the phone’s site. We will also create an extension to dial the phone.

User ‘snom_phone’ is with the same password (it is not the best idea to have same password as username). We will join the user to the tutorial context.

I create an extension 8888 that dials our snom phone after the phone is registered to the web site. And remember to reload Asterisk after the changes are made. Here is how you can check whether your user is registered at Asterisk. In CLI type ‘database show’. Here is what I see but remember this is after I registered the user to the local snom web site.
